The Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP®) designation is a professional certification for individuals with extensive business analysis experience. With at least 7500 hours of hands-on BA experience, CBAP® recipients are the elite, senior members of the BA community.

CBAP® Certification Requirements:
To earn the CBAP® designation, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Recognizes BA professionals who have over 7500 hours of working experience
in the last 10 years - Minimum 900 hours in four of the six knowledge areas
- Minimum 35 hours of Professional Development in the past four years
- Two references from a career manager, client or CBAP® recipient
- Agreement with the Code of Conduct
If you don’t meet the requirements for the CBAP® certification, you may want to
consider applying for the CCBA® Designation
- A 3.5-hour Computer-Based Testing (CBT) examination (PSI Test Centre)
- 120 multiple choice questions – Case study-based with multiple questions about the case
- Exam fee (in English): US$505 for non-IIBA member, US$350 for IIBA member (Non-refundable Application fee: US$145 for 1st trial to IIBA)
- Recertification: Earn and report a minimum of 60 Continuous Development Units (CDUs) within 3 years
